40mph speed limit order: Rivacre Road/Hooton Lane/New School Lane/Hooton Green, Ellesmere Port

Notice is hereby given that the Cheshire West and Chester Borough Council propose to make the following Traffic Regulation Order in accordance with the provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
CHESHIRE WEST AND CHESTER BOROUGH COUNCIL
(RIVACRE ROAD/HOOTON LANE/NEW SCHOOL LANE/HOOTON GREEN, ELLESMERE PORT) (40MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2021

The effect of the Order will be to introduce a 40 mph speed limit on the following lengths of road:

•    Rivacre Road – from a point 544 metres north-west of its junction with Poole Hall Lane to the M53 bridge at the Wirral boundary, a distance of approximately 2070 metres;
•    Hooton Lane/News School Lane – from its junction with Rivacre Road to point 104 metres north-east of its junction with A41 Chester Road, a distance of approximately 880 metres; and 
•    Hooton Green – from its junction with Hooton Lane to a point 36 metres east of Derwent Drive, a distance of approximately 380 metres.

The Order will also consolidate an existing speed limit.

All objections and other representations relating to the Order must be made in writing to the undersigned by 14th May 2021 and objections must specify the grounds on which they are made. Any representations received should specify the title of the Order and may become available for public inspection.
