|There are a number of new and returning courses to Ellesmere Port Work Zone running until December. Some include:
We have a counsellor based on site for 2 x half days per week (soon to be increased, watch this space – thank you Wellbeing High Street/Healthbox!) offering sessions to Work Zone clients. We are expecting that by offering this support alongside employability based interventions that some of our most hard to reach and vulnerable clients will be able to move into, and sustain work, more successfully.
On Site Counsellor
A VERY successful course of a few years ago makes it’s long awaited return to support those furthest from employment. The programme recognises that some members of communities have become isolated from the workplace, due not only to the amount of time they have been workless, but also for other wider social and personal reasons. The programme focuses on empowering learners to cope with the challenge of unemployment, job seeking and further learning progression through exploring confidence, self-esteem, self-talk and comfort zones. The programme adopts a learner led approach, with sessions focusing on areas learners feel they need to improve on and provides them with a safe and welcoming environment to do this.
The Advantage Programme
After the introduction session where we will get to know each other and understand stress and confidence more deeply, the next 4 sessions will focus on ideas that deal with stress and drive up confidence consistently including; The six ways that promote well-being and happiness, The H.E.R.O. coaching formula that leads effective recovery and revitalisation, Video examples of personal change and community involvement, Ideas and activities that will bring out the best in you. The course is designed to be friendly, fun and inspiring. It will be very much an introductory level 1 course.
Deal With Your Stress
Different forms of art and crafts has been proved to help with focus and stress reduction helping you to problem solve better and give your brain a break. In this course we will cover basic crafts and will use shading and colour to give your doodles depth. No previous drawing experience is needed just an enjoyment of arts and crafts for relaxation.
