December Update - The Grange

Alert message sent 05/01/2017 16:57:00

Information sent on behalf of Cheshire Constabulary

Hello everyone,

We hope you all had an enjoyable but safe Christmas, and wish you all a very happy New Year for 2017. It’s been a busy month on The Grange, with 17 arrests in December for a number of offences including fraud, domestic assault, theft and public order.

Some of you may have already noticed the new improved lighting around Grangeway shops, which have been installed in partnership with Halton Borough Council. This is after a number of reports of ASB around Grangeway and also after conducting a crime review survey with the local businesses. Patrols were increased in the lead up to Christmas and there was a decrease in the number of ASB incidents around Grangeway.

It was recently reported by local news that the disused Croft Pub on Halton Lodge Avenue has been sold in order to develop the site. We will continue to work in close partnership with Halton Borough Council as we look to help regenerated The Grange.

At this time of year we remind everyone to keep mindful of both personal and property safety.
- Do not leave the boxes of expensive items e.g. televisions, games consoles on show outside of your address. Always dispose of these boxes responsibly.
- Ensure that sheds and garages are properly secured as these are often targeted for bikes.
- Be mindful when out in busy public areas of the items you may be using e.g. mobile phones, iPads/tablets and ensure you always know where these items are on your person.

We wish you all the very best for 2017, thank-you for reading
