Runcorn Local Policing Unit, Grange Area
Cheshire Police responded to many incidents in the grange area throughout September. The incidents varied in terms of seriousness and included a number of individuals acting suspiciously, drug offences, assaults, anti-social behaviour and criminal damage.
Incidents of note:
We have received calls this month in relation to youths throwing fireworks in the Cotton Lane area. I would like to remind everyone of the dangers of not using fire works with the correct safety planning and messing with fore works can cause serious injuries. Any residents who witness youths setting off fireworks please call the police on 101
There had been a report of an attempted robbery at the rear of St Chads school in the wooded area whereby the suspect has asked for the victims phone and wallet, the victim refused and has then been assaulted. The victim has then managed to call the police. Please report any incident of this nature or suspicious behavior to Police on 101, if possible with descriptions of those involved seen to help with any police investigation.
A male was arrested for multiple driving offences including making off without payment from a petrol station on numerous occasions and using false license plates
Please be advised that there have been a number of burglary offences reported to the police in September. I would like to remind the community to stay vigilant when locking your property of an evening and leaving the house, please check all window and door are locked and secure.
