Please find below details for incidents of note within the community for March 2018. Do feel free to contact us if you have any concerns regarding the content.


No incidents of Burglary.


Suspicious Activity

  • 01/03/2018 – Cranage Close - Unknown male wearing combat trousers and a dark jacket sighted jumping over rear fence before making off from area during evening time.
  • 03/03/2018 – Charlton Close - Suspicious vehicle parked. Vehicle owner contacted and found to be in order.
  • 06/03/2018 – Penshaw Court - Two unknown males made off when seeing police patrolling in area.
  • 12/03/2018 – Asda Car Park, West Lane - Two males selling meat from white van early afternoon. One described as white male in a yellow high-viz jacket, approx. mid-thirties in age.
  • 20/03/2018 – Cranage Close - Suspicious male appearing to be looking into a house late evening. Male described as white male, six foot tall, slim build, brown hair, wearing jeans and dark jacket.
  • 20/03/2018 – The Uplands – Suspicious loud noises heard late evening. Search made by local patrols and nothing suspicious found.
  • 26/03/2018 – Asda Car Park, West Lane – Male with crutches begging claiming to have lost bus ticket during evening time hours of darkness. Search made by local patrol with no trace.
  • 26/03/2018 – West Lane – Male with crutches begging claiming to have lost bus ticket. Believed to be same male as above.
  • 27/03/2018 – Penshaw Court – Gate to rear of property has been opened during night time. Nothing taken. Passed to Crime Scene Investigation (CSI).
  • 29/03/2018 – Lapwing Grove – Suspicious banging noise early hours of morning. Patrols attended and found to be in order.


Vehicle Related Crime

  • 20/03/2018 – Stone Barn Lane – Overnight number plate from vehicle has been stolen


  • 21/03/2018 – Halton Lodge Local Centre – Theft of charity box.
