Good Morning ,
I want to update you with the recent incidents on Windmill Hill . Over the last month there have been 86 incidents that Police have been called to on the area . This has ranged from shoplifting at the local shop to the serious incident we had near to the Windmill Hill pub a few weeks ago . That incident I know has shocked a lot of people in the area , can I assure you that incident is an isolated one and it is not a regular occurrence on Windmill Hill . The young person who was attacked is doing well and still receiving treatment , the two offenders have been arrested and charged , they are awaiting a court appearance . Myself and the local Pcso Georgina Griffiths have been patrolling the area and engaging and reassuring the public . We have also been told about the area at the rear of the shops and pub were the incident took place . I have took on board that this area was frequented by youths drinking / taking drugs and we are in the process of working with the council . This is to firstly tidy up the area and secondly make it less accessible to the youths to gather , to make the area safer for the residents to walk through . We also have non uniformed officers in the area in connection with Operation Abolish , a zero tolerance operation in connection with knife crime . We do have police surgeries coming up were you can discuss with myself or Georgina any Police issues that you may. These will be on Wednesday 9th May at St Bertelines Church 1030am till 1130am and Thursday 10th May at Priory View 10am -11am . We are also looking at doing later surgeries , but I will give out those dates in due course .
Regarding any issues you have or information that you may want to share you can ring Crime Stoppers on0800555111 or contact myself at ian.hampson@Cheshire.pnn.police.uk or on 01606365509
