Ellesmere Port & Neston News Bulletin
30th June to 8th July 2018
 If you have any CCTV, dash cam footage, etc., that you think may have captured something of relevance in relation to any of the below incidents, further information such as dates and times can be provided.
Incidents reported relating to RESIDENTIAL property:
  • Rossmore
  • Livingstone Road – Damage caused to lock on door to rear outhouse after an unsuccessful attempt to gain entry.
  • Firenza Avenue – Entry gained by forcing open rear patio doors. Radiator pulled off wall and items strewn around kitchen area. 
Incidents reported relating to BUSINESS premises:
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Cambridge Road – 2 males witnessed removing copper piping and from the rear of the ‘Agra Fort’ Restaurant on shopping trolleys. – 2 males arrested. 
Incidents reported relating to OUTBUILDINGS/GARDENS:
  • Little Neston and Burton
  • Neston Road – 2 garages from neighbouring properties have had the doors forced to gain entry.  Not known at this time what has been taken.
Criminal Damage
Incidents reported relating to criminal damage, with the exclusion of damage to vehicles:

  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Deans Road – ISO shipping container, converted into mobile touring office deliberately set alight.
  • Somerville Crescent – Four large holes in door from unknown male banging on door.
  • Ashfield Road – House brick thrown through lounge window. Rear window of Vauxhall Zafira also smashed.
  • Rossmore
  • Livingstone Road – Brick thrown through living room window. – Named suspect. 
  • Sutton
  • Shaw Close – Damage caused to caravan, parked in rear garden by pellets fired from pellet gun.
  • Grange
  • Sutton Way – Lounge window smashed. - Male arrested. 
Vehicle Crime
Incidents reported relating to theft / attempt THEFT OF motor vehicles:

  • Little Neston and Burton
  • Mill Lane – Bright Blue Yamaha 125, VO10 JZM, parked in front of flats taken by unknown means.
  • Sutton
  • Sutton Way – A red Yamaha YBS, WJ13 YNP, being parked up outside flats taken with keys after owner threatened by an unknown male with a knife. – The bike has since been seen being driven around the area.
Incidents reported relating to theft / attempt THEFT FROM motor vehicles:

  • Willaston and Thornton
  • Hadlow Road – Nissan Note, parked in car park of old railway station has nearside window smashed to gain entry.  Rear seats pulled forward to access boot area.  Nothing taken
Incidents reported relating to DAMAGE TO motor vehicles:
  • Whitby
  • Sycamore Drive – Honda Civic, parked on residential street found to have damage to front bumper, passenger skirt trim and scratching to alloy wheel.  Possibly as a result of a fail to stop accident. 
  • Ledsham and Manor
  • Scotton Avenue – VW Touraeg, parked on driveway of residential property set alight after accelerant thrown over bonnet. – Offender/s seen leaving the area on a motorbike.
  • Willaston and Thornton
  • Wallcroft – Mitsubishi Outland Warrior, after suffering a blown tyre whilst on the motorway found to have had damage caused to its inner wall.  Owner recalls hearing someone on the driveway the previous evening and thinks it may be related.
  • Grange
  • Mill Lane – Toyota Corolla, parked on residential street has windscreen smashed.
 Other incidents of note…
  • Bike stolen during a burglary at address in Straker Avenue in May 2018 located by Merseyside Police. – No further details.
