Daresbury local Policing Unit (Moore, Sandymoor, Preston Brook, Daresbury, Windmill Hill)

Off road bikes
Op Scrambler, which is aimed at tackling off road bikes, continues to run, so please keep on reporting any incidents off road bikes.
Over the past month we have had a couple incidents of off road bikes around Oxmoor Nature Reserve near to Moss Lane and Phoenix Park. At this time we have not been able to identify the riders, however, we have been in touch with the landowner (Moss Lane), to check whether they can secure entrance to their land. We are currently awaiting a response. Patrols will continue in and around the area to deal with these issues. Please keep the information coming in regarding these incidents of off road bikes.
 
Anti-Social Behaviour
There has been a few incidents of ASB around the Co Op on Windmill Hill over the past month. Fortunately, there are CCTV cameras in this area which has allowed us to identify the culprits and deal with them accordingly.
We have also had reports in the Windmill Hill area of unknown persons throwing objects at houses. Fortunately, no reports of any criminal damage at this time. To date we have yet to identify the individuals involved.
Please continue to report any Anti-Social Behaviour via 101.

Roads Policing
Officers have been out in the area with the TruCam (Speed Camera) with the last being done on Northwich Road, Whitehouse Ind Estate. Seventeen motorist were caught exceeding the speed limit of 30Mph, with the fastest recorded at 43Mph. Please adhere to the speed limits, 30 Means 30.
Bridgewater Grange is still being monitored with Fixed Penalty Notices will be issued to offending vehicles who park on the double yellow lines.
Schools in the area will continue to be regularly visited by the local PCSO to assist with parking issues etc. 
 
 Suspicious Activity
There have been several incidents of suspicious activity reported over the past month with the majority being harmless well intentioned calls. However, there was reports of suspicious activity around the area of Actons Wood Lane, Sandymoor, which resulted in the building site being broken in to with several tools being stolen.
There has also been an incident, whereby, scaffolding poles were stolen from an address in Preston Brook. Please continue to report anything you deem as suspicious or out of place via 101.
 
Drugs
If you have any information regarding drug activity in your area please call Cheshire Police via 101 or alternatively, Crime Stoppers on 0800 555 111. You can also make contact with your local beat manager or PCSO via email or private message on our Social Media Sites.
 
Surgeries
 
Weekly surgeries will be held in various times and locations. Please come and discuss any Policing issues with us, or alternatively, if you just want to have a chat with your local officer.
 
Sandymoor High School (Community Entrance) Surgery – Thursday 7th February at 18:00 – 19:00
Priory View Community Centre Surgery – Friday 15th February at 13:30 – 14:30
Daresbury Village Hall Surgery - Wednesday 20th February at 18:30 – 19:30
Windmill Hill Children’s Centre Surgery – Monday 25th February at 15:30 – 16:30
 
Parish Council Meetings will be attended, when we are available, to discuss any Policing issues.
