Ellesmere Port & Neston Police News Bulletin
3rd to 9th February 2019
  
If you have any CCTV, dash cam footage, etc., that you think may have captured something of relevance in relation to any of the below incidents, further information such as dates and times can be provided.
 
Burglary
Incidents reported relating to RESIDENTIAL property:
 
ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Cromwell Road – Frame of ground floor window, near to catch area bent back in an unsuccessful attempt to gain entry. 
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • St. Pauls
  • Rossall Grove – Rear door of property forced open to gain entry.  Untidy search made with entire property.  Not known what taken at this time. 
Incidents reported relating to OUTBUILDINGS/GARDENS:
 
ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Stanney Lane – Insecure shed entered and blue Carrera road bike taken from within. 
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Parkgate
  • Carlton Close – Shed found with hole in roof where a foot has gone through it.
  • St. Pauls
  • Whetstone Hey – Unsuccessful attempt made to enter a detached garage by opening garage door which has caused the door to come off its runners.
Criminal Damage
Incidents reported relating to criminal damage, with the exclusion of damage to vehicles:

ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Whitby Road – Car park wall of private business has offensive wording spray painted onto wall.
  • Edinburgh Court – Rear access door to flats has window within it smashed. 
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Ledsham and Manor
  • Berwick Road – Gate to grounds of ‘Hooton & District Tennis Club’ licked open by group of youths causing damage preventing it from being secured.
  • St. Pauls
  • Alvanley Road – Kitchen window smashed.
  • Grange
  • Overpool Road – Male, having an altercation with another male in ‘The Wheatsheaf’ Public House kicks door causing window within it to smash.
  • Singleton Road – Females smashed window panel within door. – Named suspect.
Vehicle Crime
Incidents reported relating to theft / attempt THEFT OF motor vehicles:

ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Rossmore
  • Livingstone Road – Black Suzuki, DE68 PAO, parked in residential road with black top box containing gloves and helmet taken by unknown means
  • Percival Road – White Ford Transit, VK09 YGW, parked in residential road entered by unknown means and driven away.
Incidents reported relating to theft / attempt THEFT FROM motor vehicles:

ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Grange Road – Ford Focus, parked on car park of ‘Aldi’ has both the front and rear registration plates, showing WP14 XBS taken. – Plates then displayed on a black VW Golf which obtained fuel from the service station on Rossmore Road East. 
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • St. Pauls
  • Fairways Drive – Insecure Vauxhall Vivaro van entered through rear doors. 3 air rifles and an air pistol taken from within.  1 x Weihraunch HKW100 with scope. 1 x Weihraunch HK77 and 1 replica Magnum air pistol with a camouflage grip were in a bag. A Day State Black Panther with scope was in a metal case.
Incidents reported relating to DAMAGE TO motor vehicles:
 
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Ledsham and Manor
  • Thorne Drive – BMW 118D, parked at roadside has both wing mirrors knocked off.
  • Netherpool
  • Plantation Drive – Hyundai I40, parked at roadside has aerial snapped off. 
  • St. Pauls
  • Mill Lane – Vauxhall Corsa, parked in turning circle at end of road has rear passenger window smashed.
  • Christleton Drive – Suzuki Ignis has both wing mirrors knocked off leaving them hanging by the electrical cables.
  • Sutton
  • Church Lane – Vauxhall Corsa, parked at roadside has both wing mirrors ripped from holdings and left dangling by the electric cables.
  • Grange
  • Sutton Way – VW Passat, parked at the roadside scratched along the vehicle causing damage to the paintwork.
