Ellesmere Port & Neston Police News Bulletin
2nd to 11th July 2019
  
If you have any CCTV, dash cam footage, etc., that you think may have captured something of relevance in relation to any of the below incidents, further information such as dates and times can be provided.
 
Burglary
Incidents reported relating to RESIDENTIAL property:
 
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Parkgate
  • The Spinney – Entry, by unknown means into property via side door. 2 sets of car keys taken and Audi Q2, CX17 NZC and Audi RS7 performance, HJ66 XVM. – A stolen vehicle, used in the commission of the burglary was located in Merseyside. – CX17 NZC has also since been recovered off Grasswood Road in Birkenhead, Merseyside.
  • Ledsham and Manor
  • Rosewood Close – Property entered through insecure front door. 2 Hewlett Packard laptops taken from hallway.
  • Grange
  • Aldgate – Wooden to rear of property forced to gain entry. Unknown what property has been taken at this time. 
Incidents reported relating to OUTBUILDINGS/GARDENS:
 
ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Bamburgh Court – Garage has padlock broken off to gain access.  Search made within but nothing taken.
  • Whitby
  • Underwood Drive – Insecure garage entered and tool bag, Stihl saw, Stihl strimmer and petrol generator taken. – CCTV shows a silver vehicle, similar to an Astra acting suspiciously in the area.
  • Overpool Road – Entry gained into garage having first smashed a window on a vehicle parked in front of the doors to move it back.  Black Honda CB1000, WG08 TFZ taken.
  • Birkett Avenue – Entry gained into detached garage via side door, opened by unknown means.  A wheelbarrow and various fishing equipment taken. 
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Parkgate
  • Boundary Road – Unknown offender gains entry into garage by unknown means.  When disturbed by home owner stated he was looking for a builders and left.
Criminal Damage
Incidents reported relating to criminal damage, with the exclusion of damage to vehicles:

ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Cambridge Road – Object thrown at window causing it to smash.
  • Exeter Road – Window and rear garden gate to property damaged.
  • Whitby Road – Rear communal door to flats kicked in causing damage to the frame. – Named suspect.
  • Whitby
  • Underwood Drive – Damage caused to window of flat above shops. 
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • St. Pauls
  • Clayhill Green – Garden clock ripped off garden fence and thrown into garden.
Theft
Incidents reported relating to theft, with the exclusion of shop lifting & vehicle theft:

ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Whitby
  • Stanney Lane – Whilst at children’s activity in Ellesmere Port Sports Village Huawei Smart mobile phone left unattended on seat.  On returning phone had been taken. 
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Little Neston and Burton
  • Raeburn Avenue – Purse lost in area of shops. Bank cards have since been used.
  • Parkgate
  • Earls Gardens – Large flower basket taken from garden.
  • Ledsham and Manor
  • Mount Farm Way – Bar stools taken from garden.
  • St. Pauls
  • Pound Road – Secured custom build graphite grey mountain bike taken from rear garden.
  • Sutton
  • Summertrees Road – IPhone XR, left in coat pocket on grass whilst playing football taken.
Vehicle Crime
Incidents reported relating to theft / attempt THEFT OF motor vehicles:

ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Whitby
  • Overpool Road – Black Honda CB1000, WG08 TFZ taken after garage broken into. 
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Parkgate
  • The Spinney – Audi Q2, CX17 NZC and Audi RS7 performance, HJ66 XVM taken after keys obtained in a burglary. – A stolen vehicle, used in the commission of the burglary was located in Merseyside. – CX17 NZC has also since been recovered off Grasswood Road in Birkenhead, Merseyside.
  • The Parade – Triumph Street motorcycle, GF10 VGJ, parked on car park of ‘The Old Quay’ taken by unknown means.

Incidents reported relating to theft / attempt THEFT FROM motor vehicles:
 
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Ledsham and Manor
  • Ledsham Park Drive – BMW 218 entered by unknown means and wallet, containing bank cards, works pass and coins taken from within.  Bank card later used for some transactions.
  • Netherpool
  • Rossfield Road – Toyota Yaris, parked in car park to ‘Innovent Recycling Ltd’ has both front and rear registration plates, showing NA09 JVH taken.
 
Incidents reported relating to DAMAGE TO motor vehicles:
 
ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Kenilworth Court – Male offenders, using dark silver Vauxhall Corsa drives into court and male passenger has approached a Vauxhall Corsa parked in the area and jumped on the windscreen and kicked passenger door panel causing damage.
  • Enfield Road – Vehicles at neighbouring properties have wing mirrors smashed off. Honda has drivers side mirror smashed off and Vauxhall Corsa has passenger wing mirror smashed off.
  • Whitby Road – Piaggio Vespa whilst parked up kicked over by unknown offender causing damage. 
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Little Neston and Burton
  • The Green – Vehicle, no further details has rear tyre slashed.
  • St. Pauls
  • Sutton Way – Peugeot has offside front and rear tyres slashed.
