News Bulletin

Runcorn Local Policing Unit, Heath & Beechwood

November 2019

Speed Enforcement
Speed Enforcement has been conducted on Beechwood Avenue, Clifton Road, Heath Road South and Moughland lane with a number of vehicles causing activations.

St Mark’s Methodist Church
There was a break in at St Mark’s recently, during the same week there was also a break in at Halton Trinity Methodist Church in Halton Village. It is unknown at present if these were linked.

Parking Issues
Obvious issues with parking around schools in the mornings and afternoons. I have been trying to get around as many as possible but as ever when I am there it’s not an issues however I have 8 schools over Heath and Beechwood so can’t be outside all of them at the same time. I will continue to pay attention to the parking outside schools as much as I can.

Op Scrambler
Now that it’s going darker earlier reports of off road bikes have started to decrease however Op Scrambler will continue to run so please report any illegal off road bikes with as much detail as possible via 101.

De-Icing Cars
With the colder mornings approaching it is likely that you will be coming out to your cars being icy first thing in. Please remember when de-icing not to leave your car unattended. In the past we have had many reports of people going back into the house and leaving their cars running to come back and find they have been taken. It is highly likely that your insurance will be invalid if this happens.

We are keen over the coming months to try and advertise the introduction of Neighbourhood Watch schemes in Heath & Beechwood via the Cheshire Alert web page. If any members of Cheshire Alert would like to set-up and become a coordinator of a watch scheme then we as the police will offer support and advice in any way we can, my e-mail is attached at the bottom of this newsletter and I look forward to hearing from anyone who wishes to set-up a scheme that we can get involved with.
