Ellesmere Port & Neston Police News Bulletin
15 to 23 February 2020
  
If you have any CCTV, dash cam footage, etc., that you think may have captured something of relevance in relation to any of the below incidents, further information such as dates and times can be provided.
 
Burglary
Incidents reported relating to RESIDENTIAL property:
 
ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Ashfield Road – 2 rooms within a house of multi occupancy entered and items taken. – Named suspect.
  • Rossmore
  • Worcester Walk – Entry gained into property via unknown means and televisions damaged.
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • St. Pauls
  • Briardale Road – Unsuccessful attempt made to force patio doors at rear of property.  No entry gained.
Incidents reported relating to BUSINESS premises:
 
ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Coliseum Way – Alarm triggered at ‘Vue cinema’.  Fire door was found insecure and CCTV showed 3 unknown youths taking stock from one of the stands.
  • Whitby
  • Longlooms Road East – 2 reports received during time frame of this bulletin.
  • During the early hours of the morning a male was witnessed trying to open the fire escape doors. – Male arrested
  • Entry gained into ‘Mercedes’ compound via cutting a hole in boundary fencing.  Car jacked up and two wheels removed.  Male offenders ran off across the car park area to ‘Harvester Pub’ upon being disturbed by officers.
  • Rossmore
  • Pondside Drive – Entry gained onto ‘Anwyl’ building site via removal of padlocks from boundary fencing. Office cabin also entered. 2 generators, 3/4 sets of iron handles and marker sprays taken.

ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Whitby
  • Thamesdale – Rear garden accessed and locks cut off shed.  Red childrens Carrera mountain bike taken.
Criminal Damage
Incidents reported relating to criminal damage, with the exclusion of damage to vehicles:

ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Wellington Road – Male disturbed cutting lock from a bike within the bike stand outside ‘Asda’.  Male ran off leaving broken lock.
  • Princes Road – Brick thrown through window.
  • Whitby
  • The Riddings – Rear patio door smashed.  Children seen jumping over the boundary fence which leads onto Pembroke Drive.
  • Rossmore
  • Church Street – Brick thrown through living room window.
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Neston
  • Sytchcroft – 2 males trying to set the climbing frame within the park alight causing damage.
  • Bushell Close – Outer pane of double glazed unit smashed.
  • St. Pauls
  • Old Chester Road – Unknown object thrown at both lounge and kitchen windows smashing both.
  • Grange
  • Cavell Drive – Unknown object thrown at rear upper floor window causing it to smash.
  • Overpool Road – Male on mountain bike attends ‘The Wheatsheaf’ public house during early hours and using a hammer attacks windows.
Theft
Incidents reported relating to theft, with the exclusion of shop lifting & vehicle theft:

ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Marina Walk – Black hybrid bike with luminous wheels taken from outside ‘Home Bargain’ after locks cut off.
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Neston
  • Raby Park Road – Blue and black Giant mountain bike, secured in bike shed at ‘Neston Recreation Centre’ taken after lock cut off.
  • Ledsham and Manor
  • Thorne Drive – Copper water tank taken from garden.
Vehicle Crime
Incidents reported relating to theft / attempt THEFT OF motor vehicles:
 
ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Heathfield Road – Insecure Renault Scenic, SO11 FLM parked at roadside taken.
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Little Neston and Burton
  • Romney Close – Green Peugeot 206, V434 FUJ taken by unknown means. – Recovered in Merseyside.
Incidents reported relating to theft / attempt THEFT FROM motor vehicles:

ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Little Neston and Burton
  • Greenfields Drive – Alfa Romeo has front registration plate, showing PY08 JXF taken.
Incidents reported relating to DAMAGE TO motor vehicles:
 
ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Cheshire Oaks – Toyota Verso has rear passenger window smashed by an unknown object thrown by group of youths.
  • Walkworth Court – Vauxhall Corsa has both wing mirrors damaged leaving one hanging off.
  • Princes Road – Mercedes A180 set alight after window smashed with a hammer and petrol poured in.
  • Whitby
  • Underwood Drive – Audi Q5 scratched around entire vehicle with an unknown sharp object.
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Neston
  • Buildwas Road – Bentley Continental convertible has roof slashed.
  • Netherpool
  • Ferguson Avenue – Renault Clio has wind smashed.
  • Grange
  • Princes Road – Ford Mondeo, parked on residential driveway has brick thrown at it by an unknown male offender. This has caused denting to the bonnet and cracked the windscreen.
