Ellesmere Port & Neston Police News Bulletin
13 October to 3 November 2020
  
If you have any CCTV, dash cam footage, etc., that you think may have captured something of relevance in relation to any of the below incidents, further information such as dates and times can be provided.
 
Burglary
Incidents reported relating to RESIDENTIAL property:
 
ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Colwyn Close – Keys taken from inside property by unknown means. Peugeot Van and VW Golf entered using the keys and items removed from both vehicle, which included a petrol can and Honda Jet washer.  Forced entry into garden shed and gardening equipment taken, including a hedge trimmer and strimmer.
  • Plumb Drive – Entry gained into property via an insecure front door.  When occupant has shouted from upstairs the male has turned around and walked back out and off down the road.
  • Rossmore
  • Waters Road – Two unknown offenders enter porter cabin on industrial site and remove keys to a Vauxhall Movano, DN20 OLR. The van, parked on the road taken.
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Little Neston and Burton
  • Flint Meadow – Unsuccessful attempt to gain entry into property via rear door causing damage.  Offenders may have been disturbed.
  • Ledsham and Manor
  • Chester Road – Hole cut into window at ‘Tesco Express’ to gain access.  Bottles of spirits and batteries taken.
  • Willaston and Thornton
  • Field Hey Lane – Lock on patio door broken to gain access.  Search made within property and keys to a grey VW Golf R, AV14 XKO taken along with vehicle.
  • Grange
  • Princes Road – Entry gained into the property via the front door, by unknown means. Tablets taken from bedroom.  The back door has also been forced open and a purple bike has been taken from the rear garden.
Incidents reported relating to BUSINESS premises:
 
ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Marina Drive – Two burglaries reported. – *Offenders arrested.
    • Glass in front door to ‘Pond Bakery’ smashed.  Items moved around inside but not know if anything has been taken at this time.
    • Shutter forced on ‘Home Bargain’ and window smashed to gain entry.  Quantity of perfumes taken.
  • Flatt Lane – Renault Kangoo van has side window smashed and crow bar taken.  This is then used in an unsuccessfully attempt to pry open the door to the ‘Labour Club’. – *Offenders arrested.
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Netherpool
  • North Road – Damage caused to doors of electricity substation to gain entry into building.  Nothing appears taken.
Incidents reported relating to OUTBUILDINGS/GARDENS:
 
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Grange
  • Faraday Road – Rear garden entered and an outside storage container forced open.  Nothing reported taken at this time.
Criminal Damage
Incidents reported relating to criminal damage, with the exclusion of damage to vehicles:

ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Dudley Road – Two separate reports of damage during the timeframe of this bulletin.
    • Unknown object thrown at lounge window causing it to smash.
    • Window in front door smashed.
  • Princes Road – Bottle thrown at upper floor window causing it to smash.
  • Durham Court – Brick thrown through window of flat. – Named suspect.
  • Langley Court – Two separate reports of damage during the timeframe of this bulletin.
    • Rear sitting room window smashed by unknown object leaving a very small hole.
    • Brick thrown through window.
  • Arundel Court – Glass window in communal door smashed after shopping trolley pushed into it.
  • Warwick Court – Group of youths have kicked door to property causing damage.
  • Richmond Court – Window of property smashed after group of youths have thrown a trolley at it.
  • Wolverham Road – Communal door forced open causing damage to the bottom of the door.
  • Rossmore
  • South Pier Road – Entry gained onto site of ‘Boat Museum’ and apples thrown at windows of historic cottages causing damage.
  • Dock Street – Engine of canal boat damaged.  Engineer reports that it appears metal filings had been placed into the oil.
  • Lime Street – Gate to back yard damaged by a Ford flatbed, which had reversed into it.
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Neston
  • Mayfield Gardens – Front window cracked, possibly by a brick which was found in the front garden.
  • Netherpool
  • Overpool Road – A number of ornaments smashed at ‘Overpool Cemetery’ and flowers ripped up.
  • St. Pauls
  • Clayhill Green – Garden fence and table damaged.
  • Valley Drive – Bin set alight.
  • Sutton
  • Peckforton Road – Wheelie bin taken from address and onto the field at Summertrees Road where it was set alight.
Theft
Incidents reported relating to theft, with the exclusion of shop lifting & vehicle theft:

ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Whitby
  • Dunkirk Lane – Black and grey Cube mountain bike, left insecure in a shelter to the rear of the premises taken.
  • Stanney Lane – Purse and keys taken from an insecure locker at ‘David Lloyd’.
  • Marina Drive – Insecure black Carrera Vengeance mountain bike taken from outside market.
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Little Neston and Burton
  • Shotwick Lane – 2 black metal gates removed from hinges and taken.
  • Henley Road – Blue and green Carrera bike, with lots of stickers on, taken from front lawn of property.
  • Parkgate
  • Boundary Park – Engineer from ‘Elan Homes’ reported theft of an electricity meter from inside a feeder pillar that occurred between March and June.
  • St. Pauls
  • Overpool Road – Black and red push bike, left outside the shops on Overpool Road taken by an unknown male.
  • Heywood Road – Wheel clamp, attached to a vehicle by court enforcement officer removed from vehicle and taken.
  • Sutton
  • Bridge Meadow – Group of youths knock down boundary wall at residential property. 
Vehicle Crime
Incidents reported relating to theft / attempt THEFT OF motor vehicles:
 
ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Park Road – Grey Hyundai Tucson, DG69 JPY entered by unknown means and driven away. – Vehicle located the following morning at Langley Court.
  • Rossmore
  • Waters Road –White Vauxhall Movano, DN20 OLR by two unknown offenders after keys taken from porter cabin within industrial site. 
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Willaston and Thornton
  • Field Hey Lane – Grey VW Golf R, AV14 XKO taken after keys obtained during a burglary.
Incidents reported relating to theft / attempt THEFT FROM motor vehicles:

ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Princes Road – Two separate reports received during timeframe of this bulletin.
    • Insecure Vauxhall Vectra entered and bank cards taken, which are subsequently used in a nearby petrol station.
    • Insecure Citroen Berlingo, parked on residential driveway entered and a coat taken.
  • Stanney Mill Lane – Two vehicles at ‘Mitchell Skoda' have had a number of parts removed and taken, also causing severe damage to the vehicles.
    • VW Golf has both headlights and radio removed.
    • VW Golf has both headlights, radio and dashboard removed.
  • Strawberry
  • Hourd Way – Fiat 500 has both the front and rear registration plates, showing EA10 LCX taken.
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Ledsham and Manor
  • Charleston Close – Insecure Land Rover Discovery entered although nothing appears taken.
  • Netherpool
  • Gowy Court – Vauxhall Crossland X has both front and rear registration plates, showing DE70 UUW taken.
  • Sutton
  • The Paddock – Insecure Porsche Cayenne parked on residential driveway entered.  Search made within and small amount of loose change taken.  Offender/s has also climbed onto the flat roof of a single story extension causing damage to the drainpipe.
  • Deansgate – Boot entered on BMW 4 by unknown means. Noco boost 70 taken.
Incidents reported relating to DAMAGE TO motor vehicles:
 
ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Caernarvon Court – A number of vehicles run over by group of youths. Wing mirrors also kicked off. Damage reported to Audi A1 / Dacia Sandero / Ford Fiesta / Peugeot 307 / Seat Ibiza / Vauxhall Astra / Vauxhall Crossland.
  • Strawberry
  • Hazel Close – Ford Fiesta had a stone placed on bonnet and a VW Polo had a concrete flowerpot placed onto its bonnet, causing scratching to bodywork of both vehicles.
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Neston
  • The Witterings – Vauxhall Insignia, parked up at the rear of the property had damage caused to the bonnet by scratching.
  • Chester Road – Peugeot Partner van, parked in car park of ‘The Royal Shopping Arcade’ had a brick thrown through windscreen.
  • Hinderton Road – Three vehicles, VW Polo, Ford Fiesta and Lexus CT200, parked on the car park of the Civic Hall all have their windscreens damaged by unknown offender/s.
  • Parkgate
  • School Lane – Audi A4, parked outside address has deep scratched made into the boot by an unknown implement.
  • Ledsham and Manor
  • Mayall Drive – BMW X3 damaged by a firework, which has hit the roof and bodywork of the vehicle causing dinting, and damage.
  • Willaston and Thornton
  • Hadlow Road – Honda Jazz has a small hole made into rear windscreen via rear window whilst parked in car park of ‘Station House’.
Other incidents of note…
ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Whitby Road – Robbery – Male offender entered ‘Shell Garage’ during the evening, wearing a balaclava and carrying a knife.  Attendant told to open till and cash taken. – Male arrested and charged.
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Grange
  • Sutton Way – Grey Transit, L80 BUD, stolen from Rivacre Brow found at rear of premises.
