Ellesmere Port & Neston Police News Bulletin
19 to 31 December 2020
 
If you have any CCTV, dash cam footage, etc., that you think may have captured something of relevance in relation to any of the below incidents, further information such as dates and times can be provided.
 
Burglary
Incidents reported relating to RESIDENTIAL property:

ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Enfield Road – Premises entered via insecure door.  House and car keys taken but vehicle left on driveway.
  • Arthur Avenue – Unsuccessful attempt made to force entry via front door casing damage to door frame around lock area.
  • Rossmore
  • Cressington Gardens – Damage to outer porch door caused by unknown offender/s. No entry gained into main body of property.
Incidents reported relating to BUSINESS premises:

ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Netherpool
  • Rivacre Road – Entry gained into ‘Vauxhall Sports Club’ via side window. Safe removed and taken by offenders using Black Renault Clio. – Vehicle found abandoned in Merseyside.  What is believed to have been the safe has also since been recovered on track under M53, Landican Lane, Merseyside, emptied of its contents.
  • Rossmore Road East – Report of unknown offender attempting to break in to flat of shop. – Male arrested.
  • Grange
  • Overpool Road – Side window to ‘Wheatsheaf’ smashed and metal mesh covering damaged in an unsuccessful attempt to gain entry. 
Criminal Damage
Incidents reported relating to criminal damage, with the exclusion of damage to vehicles:

ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Parkgate
  • Church Lane – Gates to field damaged.  Appears as though a vehicle may have tried to prise them open by having attached some strapping of some form.
  • St. Pauls
  • Walkers Lane – Brick thrown through living room window, also damaging television.
  • Pound Road – Stone thrown at living room window causing outer pane of glass to crack.
  • Grange
  • Sutton Way – Two incidents reported during timeframe of this bulletin.
    • Glass pane smashed in fire door.
    • Brick thrown through living room window.
Theft
Incidents reported relating to theft, with the exclusion of shop lifting & vehicle theft:

ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • St. Pauls
  • Woodchurch Lane – Parcel, left insecure in alleyway by delivery driver taken.
Vehicle Crime
Incidents reported relating to theft / attempt THEFT OF motor vehicles:

ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Wellington Road – Silver Triumph, CY19 KNK, parked near bike racks of ‘Asda’ has steering lock removed. Witness reports seeing 2 males, one on a motorbike involved in the theft.
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Parkgate
  • Earle Drive – Toyota Starlet, N314 RDL parked at roadside taken by unknown means.
Incidents reported relating to theft / attempt THEFT FROM motor vehicles:

ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Penn Gardens – Vauxhall Astra has window smashed with brick and money removed from centre console. * Possibly same offender.
  • Whitby Road – BMW, parked in rear parking area, accessed via Enfield Road has rear window smashed. Unknown if anything taken at this time.
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Ledsham and Manor
  • Pennine Walk – Insecure Kia Rio entered and Wallet, containing various cards taken.
Incidents reported relating to DAMAGE TO motor vehicles:
 
ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Penn Gardens – Jaguar XF damaged in what may have been an unsuccessful attempt to gain entry. Door has had part of framework bent back, windows scratched and footprints on bodywork. * Possibly same offender.
  • Marlborough Road – Unknown male offender has damaged three vehicles whilst walking along road.
    • Bodywork to Jaguar XJR and Jaguar XJ dented after being hit.
    • Ford S-Max has wing mirror knocked off.
  • Whitby Road – BMW, parked in rear parking area, accessed via Enfield Road has rear window smashed. Unknown if anything taken at this time.
  • Rossmore
  • Venables Way – Vauxhall Corsa has brick thrown through window by named offender.
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Neston
  • Bridge Court – Hyundai Santa, parked in car park has all four tyres damaged by an unknown offender, using an unknown implement.
  • Sutton
  • Hardy Close – VW Golf has damage caused to the bonnet and scratching to the bodywork, caused by unknown means.
  • Grange
  • Princes Road – Ford S-Max has the letter ‘V’ scratched into the rear window.
