Ellesmere Port & Neston Police News Bulletin

23 to April to 2 May 2021
If you have any CCTV, dash cam footage, etc., that you think may have captured something of relevance in relation to any of the below incidents, further information such as dates and times can be provided.
Criminal Damage
Incidents reported relating to criminal damage, with the exclusion of damage to vehicles:

  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • South Road – Rear garden hedge and fencing, which backs onto public footpath set a light by unknown offender/s.
  • Thornton Road – Two incidents reported on different days where youths have tried to light grassed patches within the area.
  • Grass outside ‘Gunners’ PH set alight by group of youths.
  • Two girls seen to try to set the grassed area within the childrens play area alight.
  • Jenkinson Lane – Letterbox damaged.
  • Rossmore
  • Station Road – Glass in food counter at ‘Fortune Takeaway’ smashed by male. – Male arrested.
  • Neston
  • Frobisher Road – Fire set in bin store.
  • St. Pauls
  • Parklands – Youths trying to set grass in area alight.
Incidents reported relating to theft, with the exclusion of shop lifting & vehicle theft:

  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Ashfield Road North – Pint of mile taken from front doorstep.
  • Whitby
  • Thamesdale – Garden entered and metal bench taken. – Believed to be bench left at garage burglary in Thamesdale in the report last week.
  • Grange
  • Mallory Road – Bike taken from rear garden.  No further details of bike.
Vehicle Crime
Incidents reported relating to theft / attempt THEFT FROM motor vehicles:
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Highfield Road North – Number plates taken from two vehicles parked in road.
    • Front registration plate, NV58 UAR taken from a Vauxhall Corsa.
    • Rear registration plate, DG10 ZGF taken from a Vauxhall Astra.
  • Rossmore
  • Westminster Road – Insecure Vauxhall Insignia, parked at roadside has handbag taken.
Incidents reported relating to DAMAGE TO motor vehicles:
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Newnham Drive – Mercedes C180 has both wing mirrors knocked off.
  • Robinson Road – Peugeot, parked outside St. Catherines House had drivers side window smashed. Offenders have then opened the bonnet, cut wiring and unscrewed oil tank lid before putting dog excrement inside it.
